Good News from United Airlines, Miles Now Never Expire
We’re used to bad news form loyalty programs but today we bring you something positive. United Airlines has made a small change that will make it easy to keep your miles from expiring. They just simply never expire. The change is showing on the United website.
Great travel memories never expire, and now, miles don’t either. We’re excited to share that there’s no expiration date on the miles you’ve earned with us.
Previously United miles expires after 18 months of inactivity, unless you had a Chase United card. It still shows an 18 month expiration here but that should be changed soon.
United Airlines now joins Delta and JetBlue that have miles that never expire. American Airlines miles still expire after 18 months.
Conclusion
Good news from United that removes the hassle of keeping your track of when your miles expire. Maybe not huge, but still something positive. The positivity however will not last long as in November they are set to get rid of award charts.
