This Week’s MtM Vegas Video
A huge portion of the Las Vegas Strip is now closed and shuttered as the Hawaiian Marketplace, Boulevard Shops and Travelodge on the South Strip have all been closed in advance of a new retail and dining experience. This is a huge chunk of Strip frontage just across from City Center and North of the MGM Grand. What exactly will replace these shops and hotel rooms?
In other news Wayne Newton has had to cancel some shows due to Covid. Is now your last best chance to see him? We also discuss the alarming downward trend in Vegas hotel prices, how one developer is building an island just outside Las Vegas, Terminal 3 is 10 years old at the Las Vegas Airport and MGM wants to give you prizes for going on a wild quest around Sin City!

What is killing business in my thoughts is the resort fees , I do not mind paying for the motel , But i seldom use the pool and other amenities at the hotels . I love Vegas for the shopping and variety of restaurants. I can even get comp rooms on my phone games. but even with that the resort fees kill you and taxes as well. I would rather see a set price up front like Hilton does on their hotel website when your booking a hotel. I recently had to travel to another city for surgery and i booked a hampton inn and the price they quoted me was excessive , but was in a college town , That included everything , and has a hilton Honors member cold water and cokes and even snacks were offered when we checked in .
