Virgin Red Rewards Mastercard Bonus

Virgin Red Rewards Mastercard 75,000 Points Bonus

Update: This 75K offer will be available again for a very limited time, between December 2-3, 2025. Not sure whether this is a good deal? Check out Benjy’s article!

Virgin Red and Synchrony have launched a new welcome bonus on the Virgin Red Rewards Mastercard®. The card launched just under a year ago with a 40,000 points bonus, so this is a big improvement. Let’s see the details.

The Offer

  • New cardholders can earn 75,000 Virgin Points after spending $4,000 in the first 90 days.
  • Earn 2,500 Virgin Points when you add an additional user (up to four users, max 10,000 extra points).
  • Annual Fee: $99
  • DIRECT LINK

Card Details and Benefits

The card does not have a very exciting earning structure. You get:

  • 3X Virgin Points on purchases with Virgin Atlantic, Virgin Hotels and Virgin Voyages.
  • 2X Virgin Points on dining, grocery stores, select streaming services and EV charging.
  • 1X Virgin Points on all other purchases.

The list of benefits includes:

  • 5,000 Virgin Points upon renewal of your card
  • Earn 25 Flying Club Tier Points for each $2,500 in eligible purchases (maximum 50 Tier Points per month).
  • Third night free after booking two nights at a participating Virgin Hotel once a year.
  • Spend $15,000 or $30,000 in a cardholder year to choose one or two of the following perks:
    • Virgin Atlantic: Flying Club reward voucher for a companion seat or cabin upgrade
    • Virgin Hotels: One free night stay or hotel suite upgrade
    • Virgin Voyages: Up to $300 Bar Tab credit or Blue Extras perks package

Conclusion

This new bonus of 75,000 Virgin Points is the best ever offer for the Virgin Red Rewards Mastercard. You can also add up to four authorized users, which would bump the bonus up to 85,000 points. Just keep in mind that his offer is only available for a very limited time, until September 5th.

Earning rates are not great, but you do get some benefits that could be useful for those who travel or vacation with Virgin. If you’re not sure if the card is worth applying, check out Benjy’s article.

  1. I applied a 4 months ago, for a Virgin Red Synchrony MasterCard. One of the benefits of the card, is the ability to earn a free travel companion, or an upgrade to business from economy for 2 passengers. There is also Virgin Voyages and Virgin Hotels benefit. One has to charge $15k over a year, to earn these perks. I have been in the process of buying and selling 2 homes. My credit limit is $9.5k. I had to make a large payment to have credit available for a large charge. Synchrony considers my account too young so they hold back credit availability (even after the payment has cleared) for 14-16 days. People should know about this because it isn’t in the terms. I also have a Verizon Synchrony card for 7 years, so the bank “knows” me. I will think twice before I ever apply for Synchrony Bank account of any type! I also earned 80K as a SUB.
