Visa and Mastercard Gift Card Deal

Visa and Mastercard Gift Card Deal at Kroger, Save $5 on $50 Denominations

Kroger has a new promotion for a discount on Visa and Mastercard Gift Cards. The dates of the promotion are not very clear.

The Offer

Save $5.00 on MASTERCARD® or VISA® Gift Cards when you buy ONE (1) $50.00 MASTERCARD®or VISA® gift card.

Saturday only offer.

Check for the coupon here.

Key Terms

  • Offer excludes MasterCard® and/or Visa® $25, $45, $100 and Variable Load Gift Cards.
  • Limit one coupon per household redeemable up to five (5) times in one transaction.
  • Expires 11/11

Conclusion

The terms and details of this offer are a bit confusing. Looks like you can use the coupon only once, but it can be applied up to 5 times in one transaction. So you should purchase five $50 Visa Gift Cards at once to get a $25 discount. The dates for the promotion are not clear. It’s either going on until November 11th, or this Saturday only.

Small denomination cards are a bit of a hassle to deal with, but you should be able to get some free credit card rewards and fuel points.

Kroger has been doing a lot of these Saturday-only offers: it can indeed only be used on 11/11, you can get up to 5 but it has to be a single transaction.

Note the fee on these cards is $4.95 each, so that’s essentially what you’re saving.
