Update: The deal now seems to be dead.

American Airlines is pricing out roundtrip tickets from Washington DC to Beijing for about $450 including all taxes in business class. Not only would this make a phenomenal mileage run, but the ticket is upgradeable to first class if using a systemwide upgrade.

While I am not 100% sure this is a mistake, fares in coach are never this low, so it is safe to say this is an amazing deal. Like with all good deals, this probably won’t last long, so I would consider jumping on the deal quickly if you are interested.

I was able to mostly find the fares in May of this year and it seems that a lot of dates that were previously available are gone.

  1. I have a baby due in a week, so now long flights to Beijing for me in the next few months. I was able to price it out and almost hit the hold button, before reality set in. I hope a lot of readers got in on it though!

    • Shawn,

Congrats on your baby! hats off for you for prioritizing your family over a good deal, I think it’s great and you will be an awesome dad!

  2. best i found was around $800 r/t, still a great price, but i was unhappy with the dates so i let it go to start a new search, and then it was ALL gone.
