Welcome Bonuses for Chase Freedom Cards

The welcome bonus for the Chase Freedom Flex and Freedom Unlimited cards is usually for $200 or 20,000 Ultimate Rewards points after spending $500 spend. More recently we have also seen an additional 5X on grocery store purchases for the first year, as part of the signup bonus.

But in the last few days you can actually find four different offers for the two Chase Freedom cards. These vary between a $200 and $250 bonus and 5X on either grocery store, or gas station purchases.

Some Of These Offers May Have Changed

The Offers

Here are all the offers that are currently available for the Chase Freedom Flex card:

  • Earn a $250 bonus after you spend $500 on purchases in the first 3 months from account opening.
  • Earn a $200 bonus after you spend $500 on purchases in the first 3 months from account opening. And earn 5% cash back on grocery store purchases on up to $12,000 spent in the first year.
  • Earn a $200 bonus after you spend $500 on purchases in the first 3 months from account opening. And earn 5% cash back on gas station purchases on up to $6,000 spent in the first year.
  • Earn a $200 bonus after you spend $500 on purchases in the first 3 months from account opening.

There are no direct links to these offers. You can check out referrals, or just direct links on the Chase website. You can also try a clean browser window to see if you can get any of the listed offers.

Conclusion

If you’re interested in any of the bonuses listed above, just keep checking different links for Freedom cards and hopefully you get it to show up. I would guess that the welcome bonus for Freedom cards will soon change, so take advantage of your favorite offer if you plan to apply.

Applying directly for Freedom cards is now a good idea though. Freedom Flex is a great no-fee product but it’s still best to go for better bonuses first, and then product change.
