Wells Fargo Adds Cathay Pacific as Latest Transfer Partner
Just two weeks after surprising everyone with the addition of Wyndham as a 1:2 transfer partner, Wells Fargo made another important announcement today. Thew credit card issuer has added Cathay Pacific to its Rewards Points Transfer program.
Wells Fargo credit cardholders can now link their Cathay membership to eligible Wells Fargo credit cards and transfer points to Cathay Pacific Asia Miles at a ratio of 1:1 transfer ratio. There is no minimum balance required to transfer points and no waiting period to redeem.
Cathay Pacific is Wells Fargo’s 11th transfer partner and the first predominantly serving Asia, significantly increasing options for eligible cardholders.
Asia Miles can be redeemed for flight awards, upgrades, and companion tickets on Cathay Pacific and its airline partners, offering access to popular destinations such as Hong Kong, the Chinese mainland, Southeast Asia, Australia and more.
Wells Fargo has been making some noise recently with its Rewards Points Transfer program. Besides Wyndham Rewards, they also added JetBlue late last year and they offer 1:2 transfers to Choice Privileges.
The latest addition of Cathay Pacific as a 1:1 transfer partner comes just over a month after American Express its transfer rate from 1:1 to 5:4.
The Wells Fargo Rewards Points Transfer program is available for all Wells Fargo credit cards that earn rewards points. You can find more information here.

And Wells Fargo is entrpreneurially moribund. They conceded the Bilt franchise without promoting a viable alternative.
Bad advice. Hong Kong (i.e. the CCP) claims the right to download and examine all the data on the phones even of transit passengers.
Avoid Cathay Pacific.
