Wyndham Added As A Wells Fargo Transfer Partner
Well, well, well – Wells Fargo is starting to get more and more interesting. While some legacy transferrable currencies have been mostly standing pat, the up and comers are making moves. That includes the news that Wyndham was added as a Wells Fargo transfer partner yesterday. The interesting / funny thing is that this comes on the heels of Chase adding Wyndham as a new partner a few weeks back as their first new partner in years. The real kicker though? Wells Fargo was twice as nice with their addition compared to Chase.
Wyndham Is Wells Fargo’s Newest Transfer Partner
I buried the lead a bit with this new transfer partner news. The part that makes this entire thing interesting is the transfer rate. You will be getting 2 Wyndham Rewards points for every 1 Wells Fargo rewards point. That makes Wells Fargo points two times better than any other Wyndham transfer partner:
- Wells Fargo transfers at a 1 to 2 rate
- Bilt Rewards transfer at a 1 to 1 rate
- Capital One Miles transfer at a 1 to 1 rate
- Chase Ultimate Rewards transfer at a 1 to 1 rate
- Citi Thank You points transfer at a 1 to 1 rate
While I don’t find Wyndham to be the most interesting program, at least not since they dumped their 15K a night for all hotels set up, it still has some usefulness. Especially if you are able to get some of their better hotels for only 7,500 or 15,000 Wells Fargo points a night.

Caesars Rewards Makes This Interesting For Vegas Lovers
Another point to mention about Wyndham being Wells Fargo’s newest transfer partner is Wyndham’s partnership with Caesars Rewards. You can transfer points between the two programs at a 1 to 1 rate. This is capped at 30,000 points per year (although sometimes they supersize the cap).
That means you can fairly easily turn 15,000 Wells Fargo points (worth $150) into $300 in Vegas (or Caesars properties outside Vegas). You can use those points on room rates, dining, shows or drinks billed back to the room and tons of other things during your trip. You may even be able to use those points online depending on which state you’re in.
Wells Fargo Has A Nice One, Two Hotel Punch Now
With this addition Wells Fargo has best in class (or soon to be at least) transfer rates for two hotel programs. That is no small feat. It is a real feather in their cap, especially since Wells Fargo’s airline partners are nothing all that exciting.
I was already planning on focusing on their program a bit more because of Citi dropping their Choice Privileges transfer rate. The addition of Wyndham at a 1 to 2 rate only seals that deal even further for me. It gives me one more really valuable out should I need to take it.
Wyndham Added As A Wells Fargo Transfer Partner
I really didn’t see this addition coming for Wells Fargo. Had they added it at a 1 to 1 transfer rate, like Chase, then it wouldn’t have been all that impressive. The fact that they did it two times better than everyone else makes some waves though. It gives Wells Fargo two best in class options which can offer a pretty decent return for your points. My recently acquired Autograph cards (thanks to the Bilt switcheroo) are about to get even more use.
Let me know what you think about Wells Fargo adding Wyndham as a transfer partner below, or over in the MTM Facebook Group.

The folks at Chase will soil themselves if another card issuer (beyond Bilt) adds Hyatt as a transfer partner. In particular, Rove Miles.
Rove has been making some major moves so I wouldn’t put it past them
I don’t think “Hold my beer” means what you think it means.
It means watch this…
It looks like it’s time for me to apply for a Wells Fargo Autograph card.
Not a bad idea. Pretty good earning structure and the points are getting more and more interesting.
