WOW Air $99 Sale From the U.S. to Iceland

WOW Air is a new low cost carrier based out of Iceland. Very soon they are launching service to both Boston & Baltimore from the Icelandic capital of Reykjavik.

Back in October they got great press by offering $99 one-way fares to Iceland. It appears they didn’t sell enough seats, because the promotion is back!

WOW Air Iceland
$99 one-way fares are available in April, May, September & October of 2015!

Through October of this year, select flights from the U.S. to Iceland cost only $99 one-way. Return flights seem to cost a bit more, with the lowest price I have found being $172.49. Combining the two leads to a total roundtrip price of $272.48 which is fantastic.

Other Cities Too

Wow Air also has continuing service on to Copenhagen with fares as low as $198 from the U.S. and London with fares as low as $202 from the U.S. one-way.

Google Flights

You can also search for these low fares on Google Flights. Just click this link and then select the date box. You should then see the calendar view. (This shows flights from Boston. Change the airport if you want to see from Baltimore.)

For some reason the $99 fares are showing as $110 on Google Flights, however the price correctly displays when you click through to the WOW Air website.

Google Flights hat tip to Frequent Miler.

Conclusion

The airline isn’t part of an alliance so you won’t earn miles, but this is a great cheap way to get to Europe. Also consider using these cheap fares to get there and perhaps spending miles to fly back in a premium cabin! Either way, I don’t expect these fares to be around too long.

You can find the full terms of the sale and search for availability here. Enjoy!
