Amex and Amazon have teamed up for another one of their offers.  I saw this after adding some gift cards to my cart I needed to buy.  This comes only a week after Amex and Amazon ended their $20 credit deal early.  So best to jump on this while you can because you just never know when they will pull it.  It is working on 3rd party gift cards as well.

Spend $30 or more on items shipped and sold on Amazon get $5 off when you redeem at least 1 Membership Reward point.

  • You can use an Amazon gift card or balance easily if it is less than the total amount owed. (See screenshot below)

Final Thoughts

Nowhere near as good as previous Membership Rewards deals but many of us are buying stuff on Amazon anyway. You could use this on the discounted Apple Watches on sale right now.

Pro tip – load your account for 1 penny less than the purchase before using the credit.  So $24.99 on a $30 order.  Use your Chase Freedom card for 5X earning to do it too.

Hopefully everyone gets targeted and is able to use the $5 off Amazon offer.
