Chase Southwest Cards – 60K Limited Time Increased Offers
These offers have an end date of 6/10/18. If you were considering grabbing one then you have a few days left. The Southwest cards are currently some of the most valuable Chase personal card offers available (rankings of all offers).
Southwest has increased welcome offers for all three personal Southwest credit cards. These are in line with the best public offers we have seen on these cards with the manageable $2,000 in minimum spend. You can read our full review of the Plus and Premier card or our review of the Priority version.

Need to Know
Here are some facts about the cards you should know:
- Southwest points are often worth 1.5 cents each towards airfare. These offers are worth around $900 minus the annual fees.
- Points earned from this bonus DO COUNT towards the Southwest Companion Pass.
- These cards are known to be subject to Chase’s 5/24 rule.
Eligibility
These products are not available to either:
- (i) current Cardmembers of any Southwest Rapids Rewards® Credit Card, or
- (ii) previous Cardmembers of any Southwest Rapid Rewards Credit Card who received a new Cardmember bonus within the last 24 months. This does not apply to Cardmembers of the Southwest Rapid Rewards Business Card and Employee Credit Card products.
Conclusion
The increased 60,000 point offer with $2,000 in spend is about as good as it gets for these cards. However, you may want to hold off applying for one of these cards until the end of the year so that you could earn a companion pass for close to two calendar years. It is unlikely that these offers would still be available then but Chase has been known to release similar offers more than once per year.
The 60K offer is also available for the Chase Southwest Premier Business version. When you stack a personal card offer with the business card offer you would have more than the required 110,000 Southwest Rapid Rewards points needed for the companion pass. This is a good option if you snagged one of the companion pass welcome offers earlier this year. By getting the business card to go along with that offer you should be close to earning the companion pass for 2020 as well.
For frequent Southwest flyers the Chase Southwest Priority card is probably the best fit with all of the added perks you get and the Southwest credit. For more infrequent flyers the Chase Southwest Plus version is the best fit in my opinion since the annual fee is very manageable.
