Analysis
Normally, it’s an easy decision, when it comes to credit card bonuses. You just apply for the better offer.
In this case the better offer is for 80,000 points and Free Night Reward. But there’s a reason to take a look at the lesser offer for 70,000 points and a Free Night Reward, which also comes with the same spending requirement for $1,000. The latter is available through referral links.
If you are in two player mode, that can easily mean an extra 25,000 Membership Rewards points if you use your P2’s referral. That easily an added value of $300+.
But if you don’t have someone that can refer you, then the highest welcome bonus is the right away to go.
Conclusion
This is a great welcome bonus for the Hilton Honors American Express Card which has no annual fee. You get 80,000 bonus points and a Free Night Reward after spending $1,000 in the first three months.
