AAdvantage Cadillac Test Drive Promotion
A few weeks ago after announcing a partnership where Cadillac provides tarmac transfers for elite American passengers, the airline & car manufacturer briefly mentioned a new promotion that would be coming down the pipe.
This promotion gives Aadvantage members who test drive a Cadillac 7,500 bonus miles. Unfortunately at the time of announcement they didn’t provide any other details. Thankfully the page for the offer is now up listing the terms & conditions.
Terms & Conditions
At participating dealers only. Must have an AAdvantage account and be 21 years or older with a valid U.S. driver’s license. Employees of General Motors are not eligible. Retail value: $221.00. Test drive lasts approximately 10 minutes. Offer valid while supplies last. Limit one test drive per person. Allow 4-6 weeks for miles to be awarded after confirmation that test drive has been completed. Offer is nontransferable, nonnegotiable and not redeemable for cash.
Scheduling the Test Drive – Chat & Don’t Call
To schedule a test drive, you can call a Cadillac Concierge at 1-844-469-2234. I have heard reports that hold times are rather long, so you may want to wait a few days or be patient.
Gary mentioned one of his commenters recommended using the Cadillac website’s chat function. After reading that, I hopped onto chat and was connected to an agent within 3 minutes. After about 10 minutes of back and forth where the agent asked for my address, email associated with Aadvantage and the type of vehicle I wanted to drive, everything was scheduled. This seems like the way to go since it is a lot quicker and there is written proof of you being registered for the offer.
Conclusion
In the end this is a great deal for free miles. The test drive should only take 10 minutes and I am sure there won’t be a lot of pressure to buy if you let them know you are interested in the miles.
Keep in mind the offer page only mentions that it will be available for a limited time and does not mention an end date. This most likely means there is a very limited number of miles available, so it is probably better to test drive sooner rather than later. Enjoy!

Shawn there is no way that a dealer is going to let you out of there in 10 minutes.
Other have said they weren’t even required to test drive cars in the past. I am hoping that is the case, but who knows.
At least I can report back my experiences here. My wife and I are both scheduled at the same time, so as long as we get out within a reasonable time, it should be worth the 15,000 miles.
Darn, I guess they stopped doing it now. Too many people trying the same thing?
Thanks for contacting us today. We’re glad you’re considering Cadillac. Unfortunately, we aren’t able to sign up customers for the AA bonus miles promotion via chat. I apologize for the inconvenience. However, if you contact the Cadillac Concierge team at 844-469-2234, they’ll be able to sign you up for the promotion and get your test drive scheduled.
Oh that stinks. I can imagine they must have been overwhelmed. I won’t be surprised if they end this entire promotion sooner rather than later!
Took me about 15 minutes via chat. Not too bad. Not certain this will work, as they told me I’ll have to wait for a call from the dealership. But they took down my preferred date/time and said I’d get a call. Should be a fun way to pick up 7500 miles! Thanks.
