AAdvantage Shopping Bonus for Valentine’s Day

American Airlines’ AAdvantage eShopping mall has a new bonus offer starting today. During the “Valentine’s Day” bonus campaign, which runs from 01/31/17 through 02/13/17, you can earn a one-time bonus of up to 1,000 AAdvantage miles on qualifying purchases, in addition to the standard miles earned from shopping online through the AAdvantage eShopping mall.

The Offer

The offer comes in two tiers

  • Tier 1 bonus: 500 miles for qualifying purchases of at least $125
  • Tier 2 bonus: 1,000 miles for qualifying purchases of at least $250 or more

  • Offer available from 01/30/17 through 02/13/17 at 11:59:59 pm ET
  • Member will earn a one-time bonus of up to 1,000 AAdvantage bonus award miles on qualifying purchases
  • Qualifying purchases do not include returns, cancellations, shipping and handling, taxes, gift card or other cash equivalent purchases
  • Allow 8-10 weeks after the Bonus Period for bonus award miles to post to your account

Conclusion

There’s a similar offer from United’s MileagePlus shopping portal. These spending offers from airline portals will usually give you the best rates out there since the bonus is in addition to normal earning rates. Always compare rates at sites like CashBackMonitor to make sure.
