Alaska Airlines Adds Nonstop Flights From Seattle to Athens and Paris
Alaska Airlines is continuing its international expansion from Seattle with two new European routes. The airline will launch nonstop flights to Athens and Paris in May 2027, bringing its intercontinental network from Seattle to seven destinations.
The new Seattle-Athens route will begin on May 12, 2027, and operate three times per week through October. Alaska says it will be the first-ever nonstop service between Seattle and Athens and the only nonstop flight between the West Coast and the Greek capital. The route will also become the longest flight in Alaska Airlines’ network.
Service between Seattle and Paris Charles de Gaulle will begin on May 25, 2027, operating five times per week through October. Alaska says it will become the first oneworld carrier to offer nonstop service between the West Coast and Paris.
Both routes will be operated with Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners, featuring lie-flat Business Class Suites along with Alaska’s new long-haul international service. Atmos Rewards members will also have access to complimentary Starlink Wi-Fi as the service continues rolling out across the Alaska and Hawaiian fleets.
Tickets are already on sale, with introductory roundtrip Main Cabin fares starting at $999 for bookings made through August 26.
The two routes join Alaska’s other intercontinental destinations from Seattle, including London, Rome, Reykjavik, Seoul and Tokyo. The airline says it plans to operate more than 12 long-haul international routes from Seattle in the coming years.
