Allegiant Stadium End of Construction Tour
On July 31, 2020 the $1.9 billion Allegiant Stadium received its Certificate of Occupancy. This 65,000 seat domed stadium is the most expensive ever built and will be home to both the Las Vegas Raiders of the NFL and UNLV Rebels Football team. The first event to be held at Allegiant Stadium will be a Monday Night Football game on September 21, 2020. It will be held without fans.
Despite having a certificate of occupancy Allegiant Stadium is still full of construction with small jobs being finished. Unfortunately there was an accident with some equipment the day after I filmed this but I believe the worker was alright. They are still installing billboards and some panel pieces on the outside of the building, but all lighting and landscaping is done.
Construction Walls Are Gone!
This tour started before the sun came up to show you how Allegiant Stadium looks at night and it continued through sunrise. In the video you’ll see stunning views of the Las Vegas Strip and of this new icon of the Vegas skyline. I can’t convey just how magical sunrise in Vegas can be and Allegiant Stadium just adds to the charm.
Finally, all of the construction fences and walls are down (unlike our other Raiders stadium tour) so I was able to get into the fan plazas and all of the public areas of the stadium grounds. You’ll see the ticket booths, entry plazas and even the portable lush green field that lives its life out behind the stadium and is rolled in for game time! Enjoy the video!

If you build it they will come!! pffftttt
The last time I stayed at Mandalay Bay, one of the older employees told me if I was looking for work, the carpenters union was hiring for jobs at the stadium. No experience necessary and the wages/benefits were unbelievable. However, at my age I figured my back could not survive the mandatory 12 hour shifts.
Isn’t the plan to build a pedestrian walk from one of the MGM properties/parking lots to the new stadium?
Las Vegas has supported the Golden Knights well and I am sure there will be tons of support for the Raiders. Unfortunately the Mountain West postponed their football season so no UNLV, but I could see the new stadium hosting some big early season neutral sight college football games and maybe a college national championship game in the future as well.
