Conclusion
This is one of the best signup bonuses for a credit card, but it is limited to only a few states. The application process most likely needs to be completed over the phone or in branch since the application form only asks for some basic contact information. There’s not much info about these banks.

What’s striking is that the bonus is tied to a relatively steep spend requirement: you’ll need to spend $5,000 in the first 120 days after opening the account to be eligible. That’s a lot, depending on how large or active your business already is. Also, the promotion is only valid in certain states—Arizona, Idaho, Texas, California, Utah, Wyoming, Nevada, and Colorado. So the opportunity is geographically limited.
On the upside, the card offers good rewards on business-relevant categories: 3% cash back on office supplies, wireless/telecom services, insurance and computer/network services; 2% on airlines and car rentals (when purchased directly); and 1% on everything else. There’s no annual fee, too, which is a major plus. And the card comes with a 0% introductory APR for 6 months, which gives some breathing room for larger purchases early on.
But there are some red flags. For starters, the bonus is “one bonus per business,” not per account. And the article points out that the application process might require a phone or in-branch setup since the online form is minimal. Also, we should be wary of how strictly the banks enforce the bonus requirements and whether all transactions count (some might be excluded).
What is the redemption difference between the cash and the points based cards?
Does this impact Chase 5/24? Do they pull one bureau or all 3?
In my experience (got it about two years ago so not too recent) they pull one and it does not show on your personal credit report.
How long did it take for the rewards to post? I have the Vectra offer in Colorado and completed the $5K spend about 50 days ago, then the $7500 spend 30 days ago – just got my 2nd statement since I hit the $5K spend and I still don’t have either the $500 or the $1000 bonuses.
I would follow up with them. When I did the bonus awhile back it posted after the statement closed.
I am a California Bank & Trust customer for over 10 years. I took advantage of this offer last November when offered it was offered at that time. Had printed material they sent with the offer and also printed material I picked up in the branch listing one of the 3% bonus categories as insurance products. I wanted to use the card specifically for insurance products. Was told after running over 30k + of insurance charges the insurance rebate was only good until the card offer expired in December, about a month after I applied. Went round and round with Zions about the issue, Got the 1k bonus and about 300 more for the 10k I spend on insurance in December. I closed the card last month. Have many other cards with better bonus categories, but none on insurance. Card is good for the 1k bonus only.
Thanks for the info. Glad the signup bonus part worked.
California Bank and Trust offer only shows 50k points. Where do you see 100k offer ?
Looks like they only have it at $500 for some reason and didn’t up it to $1,000…updated thanks
Well then correct your blog post. Duh !
I dont see the $1000 offer in CA?

Has anyone completed this offer in CA? I filled out the form and finally spoke to a rep named Rafael. He sent me a PDF application from his Gmail account and asked that I send the completed application back to him. Seems a little fishy and I haven’t read that anyone has received this card on DOC.
