
American Express Can Now See Across Multiple Logins
American Express appears to have made a backend change that could affect cardholders who have multiple online logins. According to reports highlighted by Doctor of Credit, Amex can now see cards and Membership Rewards accounts across different usernames, even if they were previously kept separate.
Many cardholders have used separate logins to manage personal and business cards independently or to keep Membership Rewards accounts separate. One reason for doing so was to receive targeted offers that might not appear if all cards were linked under a single login.
Recent reports suggest that’s no longer the case. Even when cards remain under separate online accounts, Amex may now recognize that they belong to the same customer. Some users have reported seeing upgrade offers disappear for their Gold Card for example, if they have a Platinum Card on a different login.
