Amex Business Checking Account Now Offers 70K Bonus

Amex Business Checking Account Now Offers 70K Bonus

American Express is offering its best bonus yet for new business checking account. If targeted, you can earn 70,000 Membership Rewards points. The American Express® Business Checking account has no monthly fee and lets you convert Membership Rewards points to cash. Let’s see all the details of this offer, and where to look for it.

Update: This offer is available again by mail, email, or showing up in the Amex Offers section in online accounts. The new expiration date is 1/31/2025. We don’t have a new link, but you could give that old link below a try.

Welcome Bonus

Earn 70,000 Membership Rewards® points when you meet each of the following qualifying criteria:

  • Open your first American Express® Business Checking account, which is subject to approval. Apply by 1/31/2025.
  • Deposit a total of $15,000 or more in “new money” into your account within thirty (30) days of account opening
  • Maintain an average balance in your account of at least $15,000 for sixty (60) days, starting on the date that your deposits of new money are equal to $15,000 or greater; and

This offer is showing up for select American Express cardholders in the Amex Offers section, after you log in to your account.

Account Details

Here are some of the main features of the American Express® Business Checking account:

  • Earn 1.30% APY on balances up to $500K
  • No monthly fee
  • Earn 1 Membership Rewards point for every $2 of Business Debit Purchases.
  • Fee-free ATM access at MoneyPass locations in the U.S.

Conclusion

This is a good option to keep in mind, if you need to cash your Membership Rewards points. While the Schwab Platinum card gives you a better value (1.1 vs 1.0), this is a free option that lets you redeem Amex points for cash.

Plus, if you are targeted, you also get a bonus of 70,000 Membership Rewards points which is the highest ever bonus for this account. This is a bonus that you would normally expect from a credit card.

Let us know in the comments if you are targeted!

  1. I thought that you can only cash out Membership Rewards points for 0.8 cents unless you have a Business Platinum (which allows 1 cent)?

  2. Watch out on these offers. P2 had the offer when logging in but despite numerous attempts the system wouldn’t allow her to sign up. At first it was just a general error every time then a redirect saying that she was not actually eligible for the offer they still showed on her account.

  3. Interesting, this offer appeared in my account after I read this post and despite having an offer expiration date of 31 Jul 2024, the offer is no longer seen in my account! Wondering if this offer got pulled out in general. Any DP?
