  • Earn 1.30% APY on balances up to $500K
  • No monthly fee
  • Earn 1 Membership Rewards point for every $2 of Business Debit Purchases.

Conclusion

If you already have a Business Platinum Card then an American Express Business Checking Account linked to the same Membership Rewards account lets you redeem points for a deposit at a rate of 1000 points for $10 for up to 1,000,000 points per calendar year. After that you can still redeem at the regular rate of 1000 points for $8 or 0.8 cents per point.

Plus, if you are targeted, you also get a bonus of 70,000 Membership Rewards points which is the highest ever bonus for this account. This is a bonus that you would normally expect from a credit card.

  1. When I log in and navigate to Business Checking products, I get 30K. With the 70K link above, I get 50K. With the $700 link I get “sorry, we are unable to provide you with this offer”

  2. I thought that you can only cash out Membership Rewards points for 0.8 cents unless you have a Business Platinum (which allows 1 cent)?

  3. Watch out on these offers. P2 had the offer when logging in but despite numerous attempts the system wouldn’t allow her to sign up. At first it was just a general error every time then a redirect saying that she was not actually eligible for the offer they still showed on her account.

  4. Interesting, this offer appeared in my account after I read this post and despite having an offer expiration date of 31 Jul 2024, the offer is no longer seen in my account! Wondering if this offer got pulled out in general. Any DP?
