American Express Gift Cards & Cash Back Portals
According to Frequent Miler, American Express gift cards will no longer offer cash back through portals. The news comes just about a week after Gift Card Mall began blocking the use of American Express gift cards to purchase Visa gift cards.
This could be the last straw for those who manufactured spend with Amex gift cards. It used to be possible to earn a hefty profit by buying Amex gift cards through a portal and then either buying Visa gift cards in a store like CVS or on Gift Card Mall. The Visa cards could then be loaded to Bluebird or used to buy a money order.
According to Greg’s post, cash back may still be available for purchases made until Midnight Eastern tonight at Big Crumbs. This is just a good reminder that the manufactured spending space is constantly changing and it is important to utilize a number of strategies to achieve your goals!
