There is a 0% chance of me putting 8k on these losers of a card. Use that money to knock out your Venture x welcome offer.
First time I’ve heard the Aspire called a loser of a card. It’s ridiculously easy to get a profit out of it and nice perks at Hiltons. I’ll be using it later this year to stay at the Hilton Caribe for two nights on this spending offer cert and the annual one from the card, with a $250 resort credit and $30 per day in dining credit from diamond status for the wife and I. Assuming at least $400 per night for the room and resort fees, that’s $1110 in value right there for a $450 fee, and I’ll upgrade my flight seats with the $250 airline credit. So I’ll be up about $900 on this “loser” card for that stay. That’s close to equal the Venture X one time signing bonus. I’ll also use the points I earn from the $8000 spend to stay at the Hilton Blue Lagoon (they always have upgraded my room for Diamond status there) so now the Venture X is beat.
[…] Since we are talking about free night promotions, it appears my Hilton Aspire card was targeted for this: AmexHilton Cardholders, Get Free Night After Spending $8,000 [Targeted]. […]

I was able to get this enrolled for my no A/F Hilton card using the link on this page. Should it show up in the AMEX Offers added tab? I didn’t receive the targeted email so don’t have any proof that I received this offer. Thanks.
I am in the same boat. Never got the email but it enrolled me off this link. And I tried to enroll again and said I was already enrolled. But never saw an email confirming it or any proof that I am enrolled.
Thanks. I got it too but only because I read your article. And I have some big spending coming up so Thanks for the Free Night!
Did you have much spend on your card? no luck on surpass, business card or aspire. Already hit 15K on surpass and business card so I’m guessing no love from amex.
Somewhere over $30K YTD.
Not targeted, but if you are, and you already received your FNC for 15K spend this year, better to wait until Jan 1 to meet your 8K spending, that would count towards your 15K spending for 2022 also.
Great point – and I thought about whether you can double dip during Jan and Feb but I would think you could be able to. I just think I need the 4 months to get the spend rather than just the 2 months – but you are right. Waiting is better for sure.
Worked for me – thanks for the heads up. I have some decent spend coming up so I think i might be able to make the $8k. And I have 2 free night certificates from before expiring the end of 2022 so this might make for 3 free nights overseas at a nice hotel somewhere. Thanks a bunch !
they recently remove Coin purchase off cash advance bucket, will buying coins be eligible to earn?
Worked for my aspire but my business hilton wasn’t shown (either not targeted or only for personal cards)
