Amex Platinum Saks Fifth Avenue

Amex Platinum Gets One More Annual Credit, $100 to Spend at Saks Fifth Avenue

The Amex Platinum card is a premium credit card that offers tons of perks but also has a $550 annual fee. You do get a lot of benefits that offset that fee. It comes with Centurion and Priority Pass lounge access, $200 in Uber credits per year, various elite statues, a $200 airline fee credit each calendar year and more. Now they’re adding a new credit next month.

Amex Platinum Saks Fifth Avenue Credit

TPG is reporting that starting July 1, Amex Platinum cardmembers will be able to get up to $100 in credits per calendar year at Saks Fifth Avenue. One $50 credit will be available for the first half of the year, from January through June, and a second $50 will become available during the second half of the year.

You need to spend at least $50 and you will receive a $50 discount when you use your Amex Platinum card. It’s as simple as that. You will need to first register here (becomes available July 1).

Conclusion

This is yet another credit added to the Amex Platinum card. The $100 you get for Saks Fifth Avenue spending is not something that will make you rush to get the Amex Platinum card. But adds value to the card if you already have it or are planning to get it. If it is a card you’ve had your eyes on, check CardMatch for a possible 100K offer which could be worth as much as $1,500.

  1. I like it! I’m sure I can find something to buy that is useful and will help offset that $550 annual fee. Much better for me than the monthly Uber credit.
