I applied for the Venture card a few weeks ago for my wife and she got something like this and they said she could get the Quicksilver instead.  I am not a fan of it but it is a good business decision on their end.  Some people will just take the card without a bonus.

WHY I NEVER BUY PARK HOPPER TICKETS AT DISNEY WORLD – Miles for Family

Nancy makes some good points on why a lot of people are better off skipping park hopper tickets.  The cost and the time wasting going between parks being the biggest issues in my opinion.

  1. the capital one pop up has been around for about a year. I had it for the Spark Cash and waited six months and was gone.

  2. Good stuff on this post. I really hope the people complaining about Menards will search their own souls about shopping at Kohl’s. I like both stores but what Menards did was raise the price and then slap their famous 11% PIA rebate on it. Kohl’s does this on a daily basis with prices and Kohl’s cash. It’s an art form for both store brands. I get the Kohl’s didn’t try to take advantage of a crisis but it’s still related to the same regular practices.

    • Good point Dan. I would say Kohl’s is a little better since they give you the coupon right there and don’t make you mail it in but pretty similar indeed.

    • It’s funny with Menards and their almost continuous 11% off REBATE. I’ve actually started shopping other home improvements stores as the cost of the stamp for the rebate has started to almost become important in any small purchases I’d usually make there. Plus with the those ridiculous rebates means you’ll just shifting your spending and will have to come back again to actually use all the rebate up. Most people still think they’re getting 11% off.
