Chase shuts down a reader due to ramp up in spend – Miles Per Day

Slow and steady wins the race.  A large spike in spending is a recipe for disaster.  There was another reader shutdown story as well that they weren’t sure what caused it.  At the very end he says he paid his credit cards with money orders, that is likely the reason in my opinion. American Is Pausing Mileage Expiration Until 2021! – Dans Deals

A good move on American’s part, although they should get with the times and make their miles never expire.  This is American though so….

(Public Offer) SoFi Money $200 Signup Bonus: $125 For Easy Signup, $75 For Direct Deposit – Doctor of Credit

  1. I do not see anything at all in the story from Vinh that says that guy was using money orders for anything. Where did you find that info? I re-read it multiple times to make sure. Looks more to me like he ramped up way fast, but no sign there of using money orders at all.

    • That was referencing the second story that is linked right before I talked about it.

“Never missed a payment, no MOs in the checking account; I only used it to pay Chase CCs. Sorry for the long story but I wanted to be as complete as possible.”
