Articles

Risk of COVID-19 exposure on planes ‘virtually nonexistent’ when masked, study shows – ABC News

You can question who is actually running the tests for sure.  I wish it was a more scientific based test but the results don’t surprise me much.  If flying was overly dangerous then pilots and flight attendants would be getting sick at alarming rates, when they are well below the greater public.

Robinhood Internal Probe Finds Hackers Hit Almost 2,000 Accounts – Bloomberg Wealth

They will probably get a slap on the wrist like everyone else with customer hacks. It is astonishing that Robinhood doesn’t have a customer service phone number.  That alone is a reason for me not to do business with them.

Amtrak’s new flash sale offers $500 off some of its most spectacular routes – Matador Network

If you feel comfortable getting on a train then there are some good sales going on.

  1. Yeah, no motive with the DoD report eh? It would also make sense that pilots aren’t contracting the virus nearly as frequently as passengers. Think of a daily routine for a pilot versus a passenger, including where they go (or don’t go).

I wish we could just leave the covid stuff to scientists and experts without any agenda or political/monetary bias…..Can we please turn the page on 2020 yet? Bleh!

  2. It’s not the flight that concerns me it’s the crowded gate, a packed lounge, baggage claim congregation, etc. Plus the chance of an anti-mask crusader who feels the need to disrupt an entire flight after it’s boarded. I’d lose my mind with one of those morons spouting nonsense & getting my flight cancelled/delayed.

  3. In addition to that, this study assumed no one ever moved (got up from their seat) and was always looking straight ahead. Those mannequins area bit lifeless 😉 More study needs to be done, especially after other studies seemed to come to a different conclusion.

  4. 1 sick person on the plane is not realistic- the study needs to be done with more “infected” people in the plane.

    • I think it was more to see how particles moved. And with many planes going out half empty and a 2% infection rate 1 person isn’t out of the realm for many flights. But a more detailed study would have been better for sure.
