It is an interesting year where you do seem to get better deals on closer in travel, whether cash or award seats.  It usually works the opposite way, for the most part.

I am not sure that I agree with this.  I think if the business traveler is still traveling that they will be more willing to pay the higher fare since they have not been spending as much on travel this year.  Throw in the fact that upgrades etc. should be easier to clear overall and I am not sold here. I agree that people are sitting on award miles from not traveling the last year but that makes me think a splurge to business is more likely. I think more space and comfort will be of utmost importance to people right now and they will splurge if they can.
