  1. While I can’t imagine that anyone actually wants to have PCR tests required in England, I can understand the temporary necessity. My wife and I stayed at a hotel in the Caribbean last month where rapid antigen tests were included. The testing seemed extremely perfunctory and the staff seemed certain in advance that we’d come back negative, which we did. If that’s indicative of worldwide testing standards, I understand the need to test upon arrival. Also, YMMV posted about how a suspiciously large portion of supposedly vaccinated travelers on the infamous KLM flight came up positive for Covid. That makes me wonder whether there are a lot of fake vaccination certificates floating around, which would make the bad situation much worse. If you’ve got bad testing and lots of fake vaccination certificates, either a better way has to figured out or the testing and brief quarantine on arrival unfortunately make sense.
