Articles

Experts are predicting a summer of travel chaos. Here’s why – CNN Travel

We have been talking about this a bit on the podcast. I am trying to keep my flights to a minimum this summer because it is going to be a cluster. I’ll stick to the shoulder season instead. Airlines cut too deeply during the pandemic and they refuse to adjust their routing to match their employee levels. Hotels are still short staffed and you see that at check in and cleaning etc. Then the restaurants in popular areas….you get the point.

Hyatt becomes 1st US hotel company to terminate hotel contract over Ukraine war – TPG

While it is only 2 hotels, which probably makes it an easier decision, it is still good to see a company take a stand.

Influencers say the invite-only Revolve Festival at Coachella was a disaster – NBC News

While I have no love lost for influencers this is kind of messed up. It isn’t near as bad as the Fyre Festival (some have called it Fyre 2) but it is still pretty bad. Especially when you made several people spend $2,000 on your clothes right before the event to be able to get access. How hard is it to hire enough buses? That doesn’t seem like a difficult task.
