A Brief Note & Exciting News

For just about my entire adult life I have been a father. With my son being born just a few months after my 18th birthday, I simply didn’t have a lot of time to be an adult before I needed to be an adult.

This fact never held me back though and probably helped me more than I even know. My lifelong dreams of traveling the world weren’t deterred either and I have been blessed to drag my son to about fifty different countries on this amazing planet of ours.

It seems strange that I will be starting this journey of parenthood all over again, but it is exciting as well. Tomorrow, just a few days after my 33rd birthday, my daughter is to be born. It is an exciting time for us and one that both took forever and came way too quickly.

Things may be slightly more quiet on the blog over the next few days as my wife and I settle back into the realities of taking care of a newborn, but I should still be available to answer questions and plan to post at least once per day. I anticipate that within a few days I should be fully back up and running at a normal pace.

My love and dreams of travel ultimately lead me to this career and my family has been an integral part of that. On the eve of such an important day I am counting my blessings and this blog and its fantastic readers are among them. Thanks for being there and talk to you soon.

P.S. You probably already guessed, but I can’t wait to show her all of the amazing places this world has to offer so I better make a stop at Staples on my way to the hospital! 😉
