Bank of America Free Museums 2016
Bank of America’s Museums on Us program has been around for quite a few years. The way it works is simple. On the first weekend of every month, you can show your Bank of America credit or debit card and receive free admission to select museums.
I have used the program many times over the past few years. From local attractions to places like the Seattle Art Museum, we have saved hundreds of dollars in admissions and had a ton of fun.
How it Works
Each Bank of America or Merrill Lynch cardholder, including authorized users is granted 1 free museum admission. In my experience, all you have to do is show them the card & your id. Very simple.
Dates & Museum Locations
Museums on Us runs the first Saturday and Sunday of every month. (Dates shown in the calendar above.) You can visit as many participating museums as you wish during the promotional dates.
Bank of America has about 150 participating museums spread across almost every state. To find a museum in your area, you can search by state on their website or view a PDF with every museum listed.
Terms
Offer valid the first full weekend (Sat. & Sun.) of the month. Photo ID and any valid Bank of America or Merrill Lynch credit or debit card must be presented. One free general admission limited to cardholder at participating institution. Excludes fundraising events, special exhibitions and ticketed shows. Not to be combined with other offers.
Conclusion
While “Museums on Us” is no reason to go out and get a Bank of America credit card, if you have one then this is a great way to get to see a local museum or visit a museum while on the road. We have quite a few Bank of America cards, so the first weekend of the month means free admission for the whole family!

Most of the ones listed are free every month anyway.
Does anyone know if Bronx zoo is included in this offer??

Too bad Seattle Art Museum isn’t on next year’s list!
Well first, as you noted, the TC is pretty clear – One free general admission limited to cardholder at participating institution. However, its YMMV as I took my mom and asked them to make an exception to get 2 free tickets. I am sure its all YMMV at each location and whatever the cashier is feeling like that day, but you could easily just add your wife as AU man. Easy. This cool deal also includes authorized users. I am sure they will be OK with your baby going in for free.
Thank you sir. Not sure I’m a fan of YMMV though. 😉 I’ll think about adding her as an AU even though it’s not a unique card #.
haha. definitely brotha.. so wheres that anti-YMMV blog? haha
I know I’m being lazy but can one cardholder (me) get my wife and our 1 year old all in for free? You linked the terms which state “one free general admission” so based on this alone I’d assume it’s only for me. I’m sure I’m not the only one wondering this.
I have never had anyone look at the card numbers. Normally they just verify the card and id. I have even used several cards in my name to get tickets. I think the enforcement really varies depending on the museum, but in my experience each unique card is eligible for one ticket,
Thanks for the tip!
This includes BOA co-branded credit cards?
Yes as long as it has Bank of America on the card for them to verify.
