Bank of America Gives New Cardholders 3 Extra Months to Complete Spending
Bank of America is helping cardholders complete spending for welcome bonuses during the pandemic by extending the spending period. Chase has already extended the spending period by three months for every cardholder who applied between January 1 and March 31. American Express has also done the same thing for those approved between December 1, 2019, and May 31, 2020.
Doctor of Credit reports that Bank of America is extending the sign up bonus spending time-frame by 90 days due to COVID-19. The email was sent out automatically from Bank of America, so if you were recently approved for a new Bank of America card, you should get one too. This looks like it applies to personal and business credit card, for those who were approved between January 1 and March 31, 2020.
This is the text of one email:

With everything going on right now, we’re giving you an extra 90 days to meet the terms of the Bank of America® Business Advantage Cash Rewards bonus offer you received when you opened your credit card account. We don’t want you to worry about missing the offer.
You can find your bonus offer in the materials you received when you opened your account between January 1 and March 31, 2020.
Even if you didn’t receive an email about the three month extension, it could be worth contacting to Bank of America to check if you qualify.
Conclusion
Completing spending requirements for welcome bonuses is more difficult right now that everyone is staying home and many businesses are closed. So the extra 3 months will surely be helpful.
