Bank of America Spending Offers
Last week I received not one, but two, Bank of America spending offers on my business cards. The offers are pretty compelling if you had enough spending to use them. The offers are great for bonus category spending or for everyday spend. Let’s take a look at the details.
Business Advantage Travel
The Business Advantage Travel card earns a flat 1.5X back on everything. It is essentially a 1.5% cash back card that can only be redeemed on travel or dining purchases. The spending offer for the card doubles the earn rate for 60 days up to 15,000 points. So for $15,000 in spend I would be able to earn 3X, or 3% back, on all purchases.
Business Advantage Customized Cash
The offer for my Business Advantage Customized Cash is similar to the Business Advantage Travel offer in that it doubles all earnings. What makes this offer better, though, is that the Customized Cash has bonus earning categories:
- Earn 3% cash back in the category of your choice: gas stations (default), office supply stores, travel, TV/telecom & wireless, computer services or business consulting services.
- Earn 2% cash back on dining purchases.
- Earn 1% back on everything else.
The spending offer doubles your cash back earning on up to $150 for 60 days. That is like getting 6% back on the 3% category of your choice, including office supply stores, or 4% back on dining. That is a pretty tempting offer.
Bank of America Spending Offers: Final Thoughts
These are both pretty lucrative offers, and combined, offer me compelling earning on up to $30,000 in spend. The Customized Cash is particularly tempting with 6% back at office stores or gas stations. That presents some good opportunities right there. With the minimum spend requirements I have going on right now I don’t think I’ll be able to take advantage of the Business Advantage Travel card. I will plan on hitting up the Customized Cash though. It should help in my quest to earning $15K in 2022.
