Book Caesars Rooms With Reward Credits

Mike B from the Miles to Memories Facebook group alerted us to a change he saw on the Caesars Rewards website when he went to book an upcoming trip to Las Vegas. He noticed that there was the option to pay with his Caesars Rewards credits online at the time of booking. In the past you could use your Caesars Rewards credits to cover the cost of your room at checkout but it wasn’t an option at the time of booking.

Update 6/13/22: Reader Carl WV alerted us to the fact that this only is available for Las Vegas properties and Harah’s Laughlin for the time being. Hopefully it gets rolled out to all Caesars Entertainment properties soon. I also added a screen shot of how to book with reward credits at the bottom of the article.

Mike said he reached out to to the Caesars Rewards staff and they confirmed that the rewards credits are refundable if you cancel as well.

The really nice thing about this is when using rewards credits you avoid the sales tax. And remember that you can transfer Wyndham Rewards points to your Caesars account at a 1 to 1 ratio and they just increased the yearly cap to 100,000 points for this year.

I don’t think this is a huge change since you could still do this at checkout but I guess it makes the process easier.  Now you don’t have to stop by the front desk anymore on your way out of town. This could also be a way to use credits that are expiring soon (or maybe extend them with a room booking you cancel later).

Here is a screen shot of how to change the booking to reward credits online. You do need enough credits to cover the entire amount to make the booking with reward credits though.

  1. Can someone supply a screenshot of what it looks like on app or website. I’m not seeing the option anywhere, and I do have points to use.

    • I’m not sure how you add a screenshot here but when you book a room on the CET Las Vegas Website right below the dates is the option to view rates in $USD or REWARD CREDITS

  2. I can never seem to find where to book with points. I called and was told that at check in I can request points to be used but would love to see where I can book with points online. Under Book a Room? Rewards link perhaps? Maybe it has something to do with my 0 points. Thanks all

      • The big change is you know longer need to do a cash deposit( if required) on reservations as the cash portion could not later be converted to RC………….Paying in RC when booking means zero cash out of pocket.

          • I just randomly picked a couple to test. Flamingo and CP in vegas. Tried the app and the website.

        • I’m not sure how you add a screenshot here but when you book a room on the CET Las Vegas Website right below the dates is the option to view rates in $USD or REWARD CREDITS

    • The CR site says:
      “HOTEL BOOKING
Redeem Reward Credits online when making your next hotel reservation, currently available for all Las Vegas properties and Harrah’s Laughlin. To view your rates in Reward Credits, use the Reward Credits toggle on the room selection page”

So’,it looks like this may not be available in all areas.

    • Per Caesar web site:
      “HOTEL BOOKING
Redeem Reward Credits online when making your next hotel reservation, currently available for all Las Vegas properties and Harrah’s Laughlin”

So AC may not be there yet,

  3. This has been in place for while. I booked a stay in January (for early May) and paid at the time with CR credits. I also ended up doing a cancellation and rebooking (when a better rate came up), and can confirm they instantly returned the credits when I did the cancellation.
