You Can Now Book Some Cathay Pacific and GOL Rewards on Aeroplan.com

For the last few years it has been possible for Aeroplan members to book some flights by phone with Cathay Pacific, Cathay Dragon and GOL. Now the process has been simplified and bookings can be done online for eligible routes.

New Options

As of August 20, 2020, Aeroplan members can book flight rewards with Cathay Pacific, Cathay Dragon and GOL via aeroplan.com. Before today, members could only book flight rewards with these 3 airlines via the Aeroplan Contact Center.

Flight rewards with Cathay Pacific or Cathay Dragon are between Hong Kong and

  • Chiang Mai, Thailand
  • Phuket, Thailand
  • Bangkok, Thailand
  • Cebu, Philippines
  • Manila, Philippines
  • Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
  • Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam
  • Hanoi, Vietnam

GOL

Flight rewards with GOL are available in Economy and Business Class systemwide. Business Class redemption on GOL Airlines is referred to as GOL Premium class and is offered on GOL International flights only.

Conclusion

You can now complete these bookings on Aeroplan’s website for now, until the option becomes available on Aircanada.com in November. You should also be able to combine bookings with other partners. Plus its always a plus when a phone call is no longer necessary.
