eBay Bucks can no longer be used to purchase eBay gift cards. The new rules kicked in January 1st. But for now at least, they do not seem to be enforced. This won’t last long.

How to Purchase

First of all, this is only working in the app, not on the website. It is clearly a glitch in the app, so it might take more than one attempt. Choose eBay gift cards sold by PayPal Digital Gifts and check the eBay Bucks option as the form of payment. If it gives you an error, try again.

Conclusion

This is a great way to extend the life of your first quarter eBay Bucks, which expire on May 2nd. If you don’t have anything to buy right now, you can just purchase eBay gift cards, which never expire.
