Capital One Will Let You Redeem Points on Amazon

Capital One has been making a push lately to add more versatility to its credit card points and miles. They added the ability the transfer points and also have been adding partners and offering transfer bonuses. Now there’s yet another redemption option.

You will soon be able to use your Capital One points to shop on Amazon.com. This has long been an option for other issuers. You can already use Membership rewards points from American Express, Ultimate Rewards points from Chase, ThankYou points from Citi, Discover Cashback and even Hilton Honors points.

You can shop millions of items at Amazon.com using Shop with Points. Please note, however, that rewards cannot be used for all purchases at Amazon.com. You can read about those restrictions here.

Redeeming Capital One Points on Amazon

The redemption value will vary depending on what type of card you have:

  • With cashback cards, you can redeem $1 in rewards for $1 in Amazon credit.
  • With miles cards, you can redeem 125 miles for $1 in Amazon credit.

Conclusion

Having more option to redeem your points is always good news. For those who have Capital One miles cards, the redemption rate is not very favorable, but for cashback cards it is pretty straightforward.

Capital One has been pretty generous with bonuses lately, especially on business cards. You can currently get some great signup bonuses worth $2,000.
