Chase Freedom Flex Available Through Referrals

We have covered the new Chase Freedom Flex card here on the site and have talked about the big welcome offer and the benefits this no-fee card gets you. The card is available for application and and option product change. But now the welcome offer for $200 in cash and 5X on groceries can get even better, since it is available through referral links as well.

The Offer

  • Earn a $200 bonus after you spend $500 on purchases in the first 3 months from account opening.
  • Earn 5% cash back on grocery store purchases (not including Target® or Walmart® purchases) on up to $12,000 spent in the first year.same page link to offer details
  • 0% intro APR for 15 months from account opening on purchases. After that, variable APR.
  • No annual fee.

Chase Referrals

You can earn up to $500 cash back (or 50,000 Ultimate Rewards points) per year by referring friends for any participating Chase Freedom® card. That’s $100 cash back (or 10,000 Ultimate Rewards points) for each friend who gets any participating Chase Freedom® card. That means that you can even refer friends to apply for the Freedom Flex from your old Freedom or Freedom Unlimited card.

You can generate Chase referral links here. The link will expire after 6 months.

There’s an issue right now with these referrals. There’s an error pop-up that is showing up when you go through a referral link. But, once you close it you can proceed with the application and the referrer should get the referral bonus. You could wait a bit longer to see if it gets fixed if you are worried. But even in a worst case scenario where it doesn’t trigger the referral bonus, you still end up with the same welcome offer that is publicly available.

Conclusion

If you want the Chase Freedom Flex card then this is as good as it gets. This is a great no-fee product with a good welcome bonus and it is even better now that it is available through referrals. You get 5% rotating categories, 3% on dining and drugstore purchases and Mastercard World Elite Benefits.
