Chase Matching Better Credit Card Offers Once Again
Chase has usually been one of the best credit card issuers when it comes to matching better credit card offers. If you apply for a card and then a better bonus comes out, Chase used to match you to that better offer.
The process was also quick and easy and could be done through secure message. That was until late 2020 when Chase stopped matching new cardholders to better offers.
Now there’s some good news once again. A datapoint on reddit shows that Chase is matching better credit card offers again. The redittor was approved for a Chase United Quest card a week ago when the signup bonus was at 80,000 miles with $5,000 spend.
Soon after there was an improved offer with 90,000 bonus miles with the same spending requirement. He contacted Chase through the Secure Message and was quickly upgraded to the new offer for the Chase United Quest card.
This is only one datapoint, so it doesn’t guarantee that you will also have the same positive result if you try. But it’s definitely worth a shot if you apply for a card and then you see a better offer soon after.
