Citi and Chase Premium Cards Will Cover Higher Global Entry Fee

U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) announced a few weeks ago that the price of Global Entry will increase by 20%. Starting October 1, 2024, Global Entry will cost $120, as will several other trusted traveler programs. The good news is that the application fees for minors is waived.

The Global Entry fee is refunded through several premium credit cards. Currently you can get up to a $100 credit, but Citi and Chase has already said that they will increase that amount to $120 once the new price goes into effect.

These are some of the credit cards that will get you free Global Entry:

  • Citi AAdvantage Executive World Elite Mastercard
  • Citi Prestige
  • Chase Sapphire Reserve
  • United Explorer
  • United Club Visa Infinite
  • United Quest
  • IHG One Rewards Premier
  • IHG One Rewards Premier Business
  • Aeroplan Card
  • Southwest Rapid Rewards Performance Business Card

Other credit card issuers will likely increase this credit as well, as they have done in the past.

Global Entry provides expedited U.S. customs screening for international air travelers when entering the United States. Global Entry members also receive TSA PreCheck® benefits as part of their membership.
