Citi Sears Spending Offer 15% Cash Back
My wife has had a Sears credit card from Citibank for about 20 years now. We have kept the card open, but don’t utilize it often unless we get a targeted offer. And we often get great targeted offers, but the one that came today is as good as it looks. Let’s dive in!
The Offer
Earn 15% in statement credits on all eligible purchases at: Gas Stations, Grocery Stores and Restaurants. For total eligible purchases made each month 4/1/2020 – 6/30/2020 up to a total statement credit of $75 each month.
Key Terms
- This promotion is not transferable; is only for use with the Sears Mastercard® listed in this email; is subject to credit approval.
- You have the opportunity to receive 15% back in a statement credit on eligible grocery store, gas station and restaurant purchases (up to a maximum total statement credit of $75 each month) and which are made with your Sears Mastercard® between 4/1/2020 – 6/30/2020.
A Deeper Look
My Sears card earns ThankYou points and all previous offers were structured in points. I checked and am not sure if they are switching over but it appears that nothing has changed. If I somehow earn 15X ThankYou points instead of a statement credit that would be a nice surprise. Even as cashback though, this is a great offer.
Boiling it down, this amounts to $75 cashback on $500 in spend each month at grocery stores. That is an easy amount to knock off and is certainly worth pursuing. Generally Citi spending offers come out in batches so keep an eye out to see if you are targeted.
Bottom Line
15% cash back is a bit on the insane side. While the overall limit isn’t huge, $75 back on $500 spend is incredibly generous, especially considering all of the options a grocery store brings. This Citi Sears Mastercard is definitely the card that keeps on giving!

Just saw I got this offer too. Will it work on gift cards from a grocery store?
My offer is for 20X Thank You Points on eligible purchases at gas stations grocery stores and restaurants for purchases of $500.00 or more each month 4/1/2020 – 6/30/2020. You will earn 20X Bonus Points up to a maximum total 15,000 bonus Thank you points each month.
Wow they keep topping themselves! That is an amazing offer.
Will it work on vgc for a little ms?
Take that Chase ..
My offer says 15 TY points up to 7500 each month.
Now if the Best Buy GC resale market picks up again, that would be great!
Completely agree that the Sears Mastercard is the card that keeps on giving. The lucrative spending offers just keep coming every single quarter. Latest offer, received this morning, is 20x bonus Thank You points on grocery stores, gas stations and restaurants for April, May and June, up to a limit of 20,000 points each month. Some quarters are better than others, but this is especially good.
[…] Donald and KD sent in the 5% and 10% offers, and Milestomemories reports getting the 15% offer. Sounds like some sort of offer was sent out to all Citi Sears […]
Well, with all the spare time I have now, what with becoming a hermit, I will call them. That’s a good tip, Shawn. But I have had their cards for quite literally years (I think my oldest is about 10 years old) and not once have I gotten an offer on site, by email or in the snail mail. Odd. Maybe I did something years ago? I will find out.
Thanks for confirming they do this a lot though, I have always wondered why I read about offers but never see them.
I have NEVER gotten ANY offers from Citi. I have searched their site to see if I have clicked something off or whatever but nothing. How can I get them to start sending me offers, even if not as good as this one??
That’s strange since they seem to send them fairly often across their products. Have you tried calling in to see if a rep can make sure all of the boxes are checked for opting in to offers? I wouldn’t put it past Citi to have some secret switch that cannot be accessed on their website.
