Citi Website Update Login Errors
When it comes to their website, Citi is the bank that can bring me the most frustrations. For years I have had issues with their outdated tech including login errors and let’s not even mention what happens when you link a checking account to your credit cards and then later close it. (Hint: It basically locks you out.)
Years of Citi Website Login Errors
The biggest error I have faced for YEARS has been when logging in. Just like many/most of you I go to Citi.com or CitiCards.com and login. I use a password manager so my login info is always correct, but in the past no matter what I did I would get an error saying my login info was incorrect. Then, upon resubmitting the same info I could successfully get into my account.
Today that seems to be fixed! This morning I visited CitiCards.com and found a new page!
While you can now more easily browse Citi cards on this newly designed page, they have seemingly also fixed the login issues.
New Login Page & Switching Accounts
When going to CitiCards.com you’ll be redirected to Citi.com if you want to login and not shop for cards so it’s best to start there. Once on the main Citi homepage it’s just a matter of putting in your credentials. I can confirm there is no error the first time as there has been for years!
Additionally, it is now easy to switch between multiple logins. That too created errors before, but I have been able to logout and immediately back in to another account without problems. I’ve tested this with incognito and also with full cookies and have had no issues. It only took them until 2020 to make something this simple work.
Citi Website Update Login Errors – Bottom Line
If you are a credit card enthusiast such as myself then you no doubt login to bank websites often. For years I have wanted to bang my head into the wall every time I get a login error, but now logging in and switching between accounts is easy peasy lemon squeezy. 🙂 Thanks Citi!

They still haven’t fixed the loopback issue to the homepage. Worst login I’ve ever seen on a banking site.
No, it still pretty much sucks ballz.

Unfortunately I still can’t log in using Chrome on Mac. Seems to be working, but then spits me right back out to the login page.

Still errors galore for me as at yesterday. Didn’t even know there was a fix
Not resolved for me. I live outside USA and use a VPN. Can NEVER log on.
Same situation for me, and still getting the errors also.
What bothers me the most about Citi is how I can see my TYP earnings per transaction on my Premier card but no other TYP card does it. Why can’t my Prestige show what’s earning 5 or 3x respectively. It can’t be that hard, after all, they do it in the Premier.
I agree with you 500%. I have had the ATT More card for several years. I pay the same for it as I do the Premier card and yet to this day I have no idea what really earns that 3x on it and what does not. I can find on Chase and Amex what I am earning on each purchase with each card, but not Citi. I have the same irritating login issues too.
I will soon product change the ATT More to the Rewards Plus and put all my automatic spend from the ATT More card over to the Double Cash. My year end review of that card found if I had put all spend on that ATT More card on the Double Cash, I would come out way ahead. I did an analysis on my spend and rounded it all up to 10’s, and the Rewards Plus does not really make a big difference, but hopefully I will not lose the points I earned from the ATT More card.
Glad to hear this is resolved. I have both a Citi personal account and a business account. We need separate log ins for both – a real pain.
Haha had a chuckle reading this article because I have felt your pain over the years
