Costco Will Stop Accepting Discover Cards Online

When shopping at Costco warehouses, or at Costco gas stations, you can only use Visa cards or Costco Shop Cards.

But online, at Costco.com, you can currently use Visa cards, Costco Shop Cards and also Mastercard and Discover cards.

Now Costco has informed customers that it will soon stop accepting Discover credit cards online. Costco.com will no longer be accepting Discover cards as of November 15, 2023. The payment methods page is already updated and Discover is not listed as an option.

The Discover it card sometimes has Wholesale Clubs as one of its 5% quarterly categories. So Costco was an easy option to maximize the spending by doing normal purchases, or Costco Shop Cards to lick in the savings.

Visa and Mastercard will the the only credit cards that you can use at Costco.com going forward.
