Hilton Diamond Elites Don’t Get Lounge Access at New Signia Brand

Hilton announced the Signia brand in early 2019. This is a meetings-and-events-focused brand for professionals and sophisticated business travelers with state-of-the-art technology and design into every aspect of the guest experience.

But these properties will likely be rebrands of existing hotels, with same enhancements. The first Signia is the rebranded Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek, effective July 12.

Signia by Hilton hotels will have something else that sets them apart from the rest of the Hilton portfolio. Hilton elite members will not have Club Signia access. Here’s what a Hilton spokesperson told LoyaltyLobby about this:

As we continue to grow the Signia by Hilton brand, Club Signia will offer a premium experience and amenities beyond those of our existing executive lounges.

Access to Club Signia will be available for an additional cost, therefore Diamond members will not receive access as part of their benefits.

Conclusion

The Hilton Honors program has been continuously losing its value. While many readers probably have elite status, it is no longer worth it for most to earn it. But thankfully it is easy to get with credit cards.

Hilton recently made another negative change. It removed free breakfast, and replaced it with a Daily Food & Beverage credit. Now the latest move is to now give elites access to Club Signia. While this might not be a big issue for now, it is yet another step in the wrong direction.

  1. Umm, Hilton lounges? Is this an intl brand? Where in USA is this even a conversation point? I can’t recall the last one I encountered.

  2. FYI. Not for posting. “Not give” rather than “the latest move is to now give elites access,” right?
