Discover 2021 Bonus Calendar

Discover 2021 Bonus Calendar – 5% Cash Back Categories

Discover it offers 5% cash back bonuses on the first $1500 in spend each quarter (much like the Chase Freedom Flex card).  While this quarter you can still enjoy 5% cash back at Amazon.com, Walmart.com and Target.com, we now know the Discover 2021 calendar of bonus categories. Let’s take a look!

Discover 2021 Calendar Released

Discover 2021 Bonus Calendar

The Discover 2021 bonus categories calendar is as follows:

  • January-March 2021 – Grocery Stores, Walgreens and CVS
  • April-June 2021 – Gas Stations, Wholesale Clubs & Select Streaming Services
  • July-September 2021 – Restaurants and PayPal
  • October-December 2021 – Amazon.com, Walmart.com and Target.com

Discover 2021 Bonus Calendar – Familiar & Good

If you think these categories look familiar then you are not wrong. The Discover 2021 bonus calendar is almost the same as 2020. In fact the first, third and fourth quarters are exactly the same. The second quarter adds streaming services instead of Uber & Lyft. A move that makes sense given the current state of everything. Overall I think this is a solid calendar with plenty of opportunities to maximize your spend in each quarter.

Bottom Line

It’s always fun when we get a sneak peak at how we will be earning in the future. While this year’s calendar is largely unchanged from 2020, it is nice to see they adjusted for current times by replacing rideshare services.

Which Discover 2021 bonus calendar category are you most excited about?

  1. Groceries are a great category. I also buy supermarket GCs on Amazon. (Was able to apply several discounts to the latter)
