Discover has sent out some targeted offers to its cardholders with a chance to get a discounted Sam’s Club membership. Let’s check the details.

The Offer

Get up to $60 Back in Statement Credits (given as monthly $5 credits) when you Purchase a Sam’s Club Membership. You need to use promo code 11863 and make at least 1 Monthly Purchase with your Discover Card.

Key Terms

  • Offer valid until October 31, 2019 for memberships purchased with Discover card between October 1, 2018 and October 31, 2018.
  • Discover card must be used for payment.
  • Cardmember must purchase Club membership online through the link specified HERE or in club with promo code 11863 between October 1, 2018 through October 31, 2018.
  • $5 statement credit will be applied each calendar month a purchase is made between November 1, 2018 and October 31, 2019.
  • Statement credits will be applied within 10 weeks of the purchase date.
  • This offer is non-transferable.
  • Excludes Sam’s Club Gas Station purchases.

Conclusion

This is a targeted offer that was sent by email to current Discover members. You need to sign up for a new Sam’s Club membership in order to take advantage of this offer. Membership costs $45 so you will actually make a small profit, but you’ll get the total $60 in a year ($5 monthly).

There’s also a different targeted offer with code 11862 that will get you a $25 Statement Credit on Purchase of new membership by Dec 31st.

This quarter you can also earn 5% cashback at Sam’s Club when using your Discover card.
