Disneyland Opening To Out Of State Guests & Universal Drops Masks For Vaccinated Guests

Two big changes are coming for theme park guests.  I know Shawn will be very happy to hear about the Disneyland changes.  And people braving the Florida heat this summer will be happy with a new Universal Orlando change.  Let’s take a look at both changes.

Disneyland Opens To Non California Residents June 15th

First up is big news coming out of California, Disneyland will finally be open to non residents.  Since the park opened only people living in California have been able to visit.  That will be changing come June 15th. They are also expanding the reservation window so you can plan your trips farther in advance.  All visitors will still be required to wear a mask while visiting the park.

Universal Orlando Removes Mask Requirement For Vaccinated Visitors

Starting today, May 29th, vaccinated visitors to Universal Orlando will no longer be required to wear a mask indoors or outdoors. Universal has said they will not ask customers to prove that they have been vaccinated, which is actually against Florida law now, so it is an honor system.  That essentially means they are not required by anyone since many people will decide not to wear them even if not vaccinated.  That is something you should be aware in case you are not comfortable with it.

Final Thoughts

I know these are two things many people have been looking forward to. As we continue our return to normalcy we should see more things open up and requirements continued to be dropped.

Are you booking your tickets to Disneyland already?  Does the mask policy at Universal Orlando make you more or less likely to visit?  Let me know in the comments.

  1. I’ve just been trying to figure out how to get a fake CA ID so I could take my kid to Disneyland before they open completely.
