eBay Gift Card Sale

eBay has added some new gift cards to their Discounted Gift Cards section, with many of them also eligible for an extra 5x points.

PayPal Digital Gifts & 5X

PayPal Digital Gifts has a number of gift cards on sale today. Purchasing these cards should generate 5X Ultimate Rewards points if you pay with a Chase Ink Plus/Cash card through PayPal.

Additionally, they have an extra 10% off the following brands with $100 or more purchase

  • Red Robin
  • Dave & Buster’s
  • BJ’s Brewhouse
  • Regal Cinemas
  • Applebee’s
  • Buca Di Beppo
  • PF Chang’s
  • Lucille’s Smokehouse Bar-B-Que

Not As Good As Before

In the past, you would be able to also earn portal cashback and eBay Bucks while purchasing gift cards. Unfortunately those avenues have dried up. Most/All portals no longer pay out in the gift cards category and eBay Bucks are no longer earned when purchasing them.

Selling the Cards

There could be some profitable options here (JCPenney for example) depending on your reselling relationships, but most of these deals are probably best for personal use.

  1. If someone could help me get the 5x card from chase Id appreciate it. I called them and couldn’t get anywhere. They indicated none do except their normal quarterly categories and never ebay.

    • The only card left that has it is the Ink Cash which gives you 5x for office supplies. Paypal digital gifts happens to code as office supplies. It is the only seller on Ebay where you get 5x earning though.

  2. Just as a side note Costco and Sams club also sells a ton of gift cards such like Buca di Beppo, movie tickets etc. $100 for $75 and if you shop Sams they take any credit card, Costco only accepts Visa.
