Favorite Travel Gear of the Miles to Memories Team
As we collectively return to big travel during this stage of the pandemic, many enthusiasts are equipping themselves. The Miles to Memories team figures it’s a great time to share our favorite travel gear. Even better, we include handy links to these items at everyone’s favorite one-click website, Amazon. So let’s have some fun going over our favorite stuff to use while we travel.
Mark
Multi Charging Cable – We’ve all seen that guy sitting on the walkway floor of an airport terminal charging devices. You can use this versatile charging cable to more flexibly and proactively charge various electronic items anywhere. The 4-in-1 design has 3 different USB ports, including Dual iP, Micro USB, and Type-C support to charge most mobile phones available on market.
Outlander Lightweight Daypack – This water-resistant and durable backpack is made from highly rip and water-resistant nylon fabric, which provides strength and long-lasting performance, with minimal weight. Stress points are reinforced with bar tacking for increased longevity. Durable 2-way Abrasion Resistant SBS Metal Zippers are used across the backpack.
Mophie Ultra-Slim Wireless Battery Case – It looks like we have competing gadgets for charging devices in this article (see Ian’s for the next one). Mark’s is also a phone case/storage solution. The reliable juice pack air battery case delivers enough power to extend the life of your iPhone to a total of 31 hours.
Ryan S
ProMaster All-in-One Travel Adapter – Ultra compact and convenient, the ProMaster All-In-One Worldwide Travel Adapter is the only plug adapter you need to travel the world. It can be used in more than 150 countries.
Benjy
Travelpro Maxlite Underseat Carry-On Bag – As a packing minimalist, I love underseat bags, particularly this Travelpro model. Using an underseat bag frees me from the process and stress of overhead bin storage. I love getting on a plan as late as possible, and this bag enables it! This wheeled underseat carry on bag is optimal for organization, mobility and convenience. The bag is made of polyester fabric with stain resistant, water repellant duraguard coating and ergonomic, high tensile strength zipper pulls to provide lasting durability.
JBL Clip 4 Portable Bluetooth Speaker – An easy recommendation is my favorite earbuds, but the bigger travel audio standout for me is this ultra-compact, powerful speaker. The speaker is a great companion for hiking, biking, beach-going, camping, and so much more. The speaker delivers surprisingly rich audio and punchy bass for its small size. You guessed it – there’s a handy clip on the speaker so you can attach it to any accessory you’re carrying, maybe even yourself!
Felicia
Memory Foam Airplane Neck Pillow – If you spend long hours in trains, airplanes, cars or if you need to sleep in a wheelchair, this top quality travel neck support pillow is what you need to keep you relaxed and comfortable. It provides you with constant, excellent support while you sleep or simply rest.
YAMIU Travel Shoe Bags Set of 4 – These bags can help travelers avoid footwear problems in transit. The bags keep your shoes dust free and minimize odors from other items in your suitcase. They are also useful as makeup or toiletries bags.
PDX Deals Guy
Amazon Basics Suitcase – This small 21-inch hardside spinner luggage is great for weekend getaways or as an international carry-on. The suitcase weighs just over 7 pounds, and, like other Amazon Basics gear, the price is competitive!
IPad Keyboard Case – Thanks to this handy case, PDX isn’t that guy on the flight looking down at a movie on his tablet. The case’s premium composition leather exterior protects the tablet from accidental dropping and bumps. The case has three dents for propping up the tablet into three different viewing angles in landscape mode. It’s perfect for working, writing, or watching videos.
Ian
INIU Portable Charger – This unit provides plenty of on the go charging capability. This charger is compatible with the latest worldwide USB C charging standard. It works as both input and output to not only let you fast refuel the charger, but perfectly fit your newest iPhone, Android, and all upcoming USB C devices.
Bose QuietComfort 25 Wired Headphones – This is another edition of the Bose noice-cancelling headphones many have come to love. The special sauce here is Ian’s preference for wired headphones.
DDG
Etekcity Luggage Scale – Danny must be a clotheshorse. Or maybe I’m way off. Regardless, this is a compact solution for anyone who focuses on their baggage weight. The scale has a high-accuracy sensor and rubber handle surface. The item also includes a temperature sensor. Avoid those pesky baggage fees with this gadget!
Miphnia Travel Jewelry Organizer Case – This item looks like a Trapper Keeper for adults. But I totally get the appeal. This compact jewelry organizer has many pockets to easily accommodate multiple pieces of jewelry without fear of getting necklaces tangled up or risk losing earrings or smaller items. The exterior leather material is easy to clean and thicker so your jewelry doesn’t get smashed while traveling.
Bethany
Cozysilk Sleeping Bag Liner – This 100% Mulberry silk (with included sleep mask) is a great option for those who focus on hotel bedding. I probably should be! The silk liner is also ideal for hostels, camping, and train sleeping cars. The durable liner weighs under a pound!
111SKIN Facial Treatment Mask – This hydrogel formula infuses the skin with radiance boosting ingredients for a glowing complexion.
Favorite Travel Gear – Conclusion
There you have it – a load of favorite travel gear covering various categories! Putting together this list enlightened me on several items I should consider more. I must be careful, though, because they may entail a bigger suitcase! This exercise also reminded me that we can all continue to streamline our travel experiences with different gear, whether they are cutting-edge items or old, reliable ones that you’ve never bothered trying. What’s your favorite travel gear on this list? What other stuff do you recommend?

If you travel with children and don’t want to have the hotel room (as) trashed, buy a travel hamper. Pop up mesh laundry hamper under $20. Best thing I ever got! It was recommended on another travel blog years ago.

Anyone have a recommendation for an AC laptop power bank?
Great notes. Are there other things like the silk sleeping bag? Looks like a nice product.
