Final Chance To Lock In These 5 Hyatt Hotels & 5 You Wanna Book On Tuesday
There are only a few days left before Hyatt’s massive 259 property changes kick in. The results were pretty evenly divided but there are a few hotels you may wanna speculatively book before Monday evening. I will also share 5 hotels that I am excited about starting on Tuesday after their price drop.
5 Great Properties Going Up In Cost
There are many choices here so I am gonna cheat a little and squeeze more than 5 into the list 😉.
Most of Seattle
Downtown Seattle can be extremely costly at times and using a free night cert brought in awesome value. People enjoyed the Olive 8 and Grand Hyatt Seattle when they were checking out downtown. Even the Hyatt House downtown is going up in price. If you were planning on visiting Seattle over the next year book your rooms now!
Hyatt Regency Hong Kong Tsim Sha Tsui
This was maybe the most used Category 1-4 free night spot. It also received the most tears in the comments of my article about the category changes. This hotel will be missed as a category 4 so be sure to lock it down while you can.
Andaz Costa Rica Resort at Peninsula Papagayo
This property has probably been over-influenced over the years and that may have lead to the jump from a category 4 to 5. I still know many people love it and will be looking to book stays here while they still can for 15K per night.
Hyatt Regency Coconut Point
This is probably the one I am most tempted to take a flyer booking on. If you were looking for a family vacation spot in Florida I don’t think you can do much better than this place at 15K per night.
Hyatt Regency Amsterdam
Having just booked a trip to Amsterdam I can tell you the hotels are expensive! And that is for cash prices and for points. The Hyatt Regency Amsterdam, while slightly on the outskirts, was the best deal among them. Even at 20K it will be on the lower end but the value at 15K per night is pretty massive!
Honorary Addition – Hyatt Centric Fisherman’s Wharf
I told you I would max it out a little bit. San Francisco is one of the wealthiest cities in America which means everything is expensive. The HC Fisherman’s Wharf was one of the bargains left but once the 5K increase per night comes it will be more like the other options.
5 Properties Dropping In Price On Tuesday
It is not all doom and gloom. Since there were just as many properties dropping in price there are some that I am excited about going the other way too.
Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress
This is probably number one for me. It is one of my favorite, if not favorite, properties in Orlando. I love that it is dropping to 12K per night which is more in line with the area and now THE option for Hyatt in Orlando. All of the Hyatt Place/House locations in the area are bumping up to 12K per night too so this is the better deal. The other Hyatt Regency also dropped in price so check that out should the Grand Cypress be completely booked. Be sure to check out the world’s largest McDonald’s when you are in town!
Hyatt Centric Waikiki Beach
While not the best location in Hawaii having another option for a free night cert in Hawaii is a big plus. I have yet to stay at a Centric Hyatt, which I need to do for my brand explorer perk, but they look really cool. This could be the perfect use of the World of Hyatt credit card anniversary night. It would be nice for the day of your arrival or the night before you fly out etc.
New York City
NYC is one of the most expensive places in the world to stay on points. There just is not a great deal in the city for the most part. That may be why I do so many free things while there 🙂. To see multiple locations drop by 5K a night is amazing and I look forward to staying at one of the reduced rate properties.
Hyatt Regency New Orleans
I am a UUUUGE Nola fan so to see the Hyatt Regency drop in price to match the Hyatt Place and Hyatt House is good news. I always try to snag a free room at Harrah’s when I am there but if not that I will be looking at the Hyatt Regency next time.
Grand Hyatt Bali
With the best category 1 in the world going to a category 2 it is nice to see the Grand Hyatt dropping from a 3 to 2 to match it. Bali is usually pretty reasonable on cash prices so this is probably more in line with the cash price now.
Conclusion
Those are the hotels I would look to book before Monday night and the ones I am most excited about come Tuesday. Share you top ones on each side of the coin in the comments section.
