Flying In Coach – The Movie Trailer
Earlier today I shared a travel map and stats about my 2014 travels. While some of my flying last year involved points redemptions and flying in International First/Business Class, I spent way more time in coach then is comfortable.
Over the summer there was our last minute family trip to South America which was completely in coach due to award availability and in November I flew from JFK-MXP-LUX and AMS-LHR-PRG-AMS-HKG in coach all in the span of a week because of a mistake fare. By the end of the AMS-HKG flight I was very close to losing my sanity. VERY CLOSE!
A Great Video
When flipping through the blogs today, I saw a great video linked to on One Miles at a Time. (It is embedded below.) Having recently had so many coach flying experiences, I can relate on a deep and personal level.
The two minute long video isn’t particularly clever, but it has enough funny in it to give any frequent flyer a chuckle or two. Enjoy!

Yes… oh yes. The countless hours a road warrior has spent in those G-DAWFUL seats, trapped in the window next to a 600# man named ‘tiny’, the screaming baby one row back, the puker in the aisle seat who misses the sick sack, overpriced (and just plain bad) food, IFE that is either not working or not worth it, no wifi, no audio, no sanity…. Yes, this is how I’ve stared at the seatback for years now, no matter where I go. That is, unless I hear the most beautiful words in the English Language: “You’ve been upgraded to First Class!”
Yes there is nothing like sitting in front of the curtain and watching the jealous stares as the economy passengers pass you by on the way to their seats. I know I always shoot first class passengers a jealous look!
